Sisters Action Media is a ten-week video production and media literacy training that empowers young women between the ages of 14-18 to critique, produce and distribute media. Participants will develop their media technology and critical thinking skills, and increase their self-confidence in the process. Each participant will complete an individual short film and a short documentary related to community or social justice. Following the project, participants will host a community screening and peer workshop at PhillyCam Studio.

The above slide-show includes images from our first workshop together. During this workshop, students brainstormed ideas that could lead to a film.  We also developed community guidelines to ensure a safe space for learning, creativity and action.
